Football Season!

Well it is finally here!  Football season has started at Weber State and I have one thing to say....

Weber State, Weber State, GREAT GREAT GREAT!!!!

Honestly, Weber's football team is NOT the best this year.  But we really just go to the games for the fun of going to the games and getting in to the crowd and just enjoying being outside.

Last week was their first home game, so of course we had to go!  We left a little early though because the score was 7-35 for the other team of course.  But as we were walking out Weber DID get a touchdown, so it went up to 13.

Then tonight Ellie and I went to the Homecoming game with Clint's family because Clint had to go DJ a wedding.  It wasn't quite as bad as the first.  When we decided to leave the score was 19-32 for Eastern Washington, but as we were leaving Weber scored again, so the score was 26-32.

Long story short, we are avid Weber State fans whether we win or lose and we always will be!  We just REALLY like to win!

This was the game from last Saturday, the 15th.

Then on to tonights game.
I forgot the purple bow, so we had blue instead!
Somebody was a little tired!  And after she woke up all she wanted to do was cuddle! :)

Maybe the next game Weber State will actually win!  But we'll be there to cheer them on with our cute little Cheerleader Ellie Belly!

Funny Hair-do!

Don't you love my new hairdo?  It's the new thing!

Fun Fun Fun!

Now that Ellie is almost over ALL of her sicknesses she is starting to feel a little better and have a lot more fun!  For a while we couldn't seem to kick the bug.  First there was the Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease, then an ear infection, then a cold, then Thrush, then a cold, and now she just has a little infection.  But no worries, she is a happy girl and having fun, fun, fun!

We usually try to play with her at night as much as we can since we don't get to see her much during the day.  The other night we were playing on our bed and she loved it.  We would toss her into the pillows and then Clint would jump on the bed and growl at her and she would just giggle and giggle and squeal.  Oh it was the funniest thing!  Of course when I would try to do it it just wasn't as funny!  But we loved it!  We're so happy you're finally feeling better Ellie Belly!

Lotoja 2012

This year Clint's Dad rode in the Lotoja Bike race again for like the 5th or 6th time!  It is a one day race going from Logan to Jackson Hole, which is 206 miles.  Did I mention it is all IN ONE DAY?  Pretty nuts if you ask me, but Clint and his Dad absolutely LOVE it.

Clint's dad asked us to come help him out this year, but unfortunately Clint had to work.  But Ellie and I decided we would give it a shot just the two of us and go.  Really we went with Carolyn and the girls too, but it was different being without Clint for a couple of days!

On Saturday, the 8th of September, we had to wake up at 2:30 and get ready and then go to the Petersen's house.  We left by 4:00 and were in Logan by 5:00.  Clint's dad got ready and met up with his team and they left at 5:55 a.m.

They rode to Preston, but on the way about 200 cyclists got flat tires from some thorns that were in the road, so it slowed them down a little.  They made it to Preston where we met Gary to give him some food. Then it was off to Montpelier.  This is the longest ride of the day, taking us about 2 hours or so.  We watched Tangled and Ellie fell asleep.  It was a much needed nap! :)

Then we ate lunch in Montpelier while we waited for Gary to come in.  Ellie loved walking around looking at all of the people, and all of the people loved her little shoes that squeaked when she walked!

We hung out there for a little bit and then it was off again!  This was the 2nd longest car ride of the day, heading to Afton.  This route is where they do King/Queen of the Mountain.  It's the steepest climb of the day and they get timed when they ride it.  It is pretty rough too.  There were a few cyclists walking up the hill.  Just imagine being on a bike all day, how tired and sore you would be.  I would walk too if I were them!

And Ellie decided she wanted to drive for a bit!  Can you see us passing the cyclist and the cars?! :) She's cruzin'!

The next stop was Alpine at the mouth of the Snake River.  This was the last stop to see Gary before the finish line.

Then we were off to Teton Village for the big finish!  BUT, we had a detour on the way!  There was a fire in the canyon just as we were about to Jackson Hole.  All of the cars were stopping to watch the helicopter dump water all over the fire.  It had a big bucket at the end of a rope and it would dunk it in the river and then fly over the fire.  It was pretty neat to see it all in action!

Then we made it to the finish line!  Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of the finish line with my camera because we had Clint's dad's camera with us then.  So I will put those on later!  And of course, he's only at the finish line for a second before the next guy is riding in!  But he made it!  It took him 13 1/2 hours but he did it!  Congrats Gary!  And thanks for letting Ellie and I come and hang out.  We had tons of fun!
