On Ellie's birthday we woke up bright and early and took her to see the Brigham City Temple at the open house. The temple is beautiful and Ellie loved all the lights inside. It was fun too, to be able to take her there on her birthday!
Then we came home and opened a few presents. Really it looks like a lot but it was a whole bunch of little toys and then a whole bunch of clothes from Grandma Trena! And a few from Mommy and Daddy of course! : )
Then Clint had to go to work so Ellie took a nice long nap and then I took her to the park to feed the ducks. The ducks didn't want to eat the bread though...they wanted to eat us! They kept chasing us until a couple of girls at the park chased them away for us! But Ellie loved to listen to all the ducks quacking.
Once Clint got home we took Ellie to her first birthday dinner! We weren't quite sure where to go but ended up going to Applebee's so that she could keep the little sippy cup that they give you as a little momento. She had spaghetti and marinara sauce and she LOVED it! But then all of a sudden these wierd people came out of nowhere clapping their hands and singing wierd words to her that somehow meant Happy Birthday! She wasn't quite sure what to think of them as they sang to her! But it was really fun and really neat to be able to experience that with her.
After dinner we came home and had a few more visitors come over to give her some presents. All in all it was a really fun day and we think Ellie really enjoyed it. Especially every time we would sing Happy Birthday to her! She loves that song!
We had her birthday party last night, so those pictures will come soon!
On the shuttle bus to the temple
Of course Ellie girl had to stick her feet in the water!
Grandpa Offret, NatiLee and Jon Li came to visit
This was a book about Curios George and Ellie obviously LOVED the monkey! She wanted to give it a kiss! ;)
It was a fun day and we are so proud of you Ellie Belly!
We love you so much!
Happy Birthday!
