Chillin' with my Wipes

So every Wednesday I close at work, which means I get the mornings at home with Ellie.  It always seems to end up rough and I always get to work late, but atleast I make it there in one piece!  But there are times when we have some fun!  Last week I got some pictures of her on the bed while I was getting ready.  She's such a funny girl...

Big Girl!

So on December 29th Ellie turned 4 months old!  We did have an appointment for that week at the Doctor but it had to be rescheduled.  So we ended up going last Friday.  Ellie weighs 14 lbs 11 oz and is 26 1/2 in long!  So she is in the 95th percentile for her height and the 75th percentile for her weight.  I don't remember her head circumference though, but she's still growing like crazy!

We can now start her on some food, so last Saturday we started with the rice cereal.  She likes the taste but still needs to figure out how to keep it in her mouth and swallow!  After a little while she gets frustrated because it's not coming fast enough and just wants her milk!  She's so funny.

She also rolled over all by herself on the first of January, and then again tonight!  We are so excited and proud!  She's getting so big so fast and we love her so much!

New Years

So like Clint said, we spent our New Years Eve writing our talks for church.  They turned out pretty good though, and we're so happy to be done!  Here is the cute dress Ellie wore that day!

Merry Christmas Dress, 2nd Edition

So like I said in the first Merry Christmas Dress post, Ellie got 2 cute dresses for Christmas, one from each of her Grandmas!  So here is the other one!  They're so cute.  We loved them both!  Thanks Grandma Petersen and Grandma Offret!

Happy New Year!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! This is a little boring because there are no pictures like normal. We hope that everyone had a great time bringing in the new year. Nikita and I had to talk in Sacrament Meeting today so we were a little boring and spent the majority of our New Year's Eve preparing our talks. Our theme was the Book of Mormon because that is what we are studying this year. Nikita talked about the tender mercies of the Lord brought to us through the Book of Mormon. I talked about the importance of the Book of Mormon and studying it every day. President Ezra Taft Benson once gave a wonderful talk about the importance of the Book of Mormon. If you want to read it you can find it at http://lds.org/ensign/2011/10/the-book-of-mormon-keystone-of-our-religion?lang=eng. Have a happy new year!!

Merry Christmas

Well Christmas was definitely a busy day!  We woke up and did presents here and then went to Church.  After that we went over to Clint's parents house to do our Gift Exchange there.  Then we went and saw his Grandma Petersen, then to my Grandma Tana's house.  After that we stopped at my Grandma Montag's house, and then ended at Grandma Child's house.  Holy Moly!  But it was a really fun day.

Ellie did great at opening her presents.  We would tear a little corner of the wrapping paper and she would try to tear the rest.  She had fun for about 10 minutes, and then she got tired of it.  But it was still pretty fun!  She got lots and lots of clothes, some stuffed animals and other toys and gadgets.  She loved them all.  Thanks everyone for a fun first Christmas with our cute Ellie!

Daddy tried to get Ellie to eat the sick,
nasty black licorice.  He doesn't know
that she secretly doesn't like it!:)

Ellie fell asleep on our way to Clint's parents house,
so we had to wait for her to wake up.
That's why she looks a little groggy!

Gary got a toy FOR him to play WITH Ellie.  He was excited!

Overall it was really fun and Ellie did pretty well
considering it was such a busy day.
We can't wait for next year!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was a fun day! My Grandpa and Grandma Child have had Christmas breakfast for as long as I can remember. Because Christmas was on Sunday, we had our breakfast on Christmas Eve so that everyone could go to church on Christmas. It was a lot of fun to get to together with everyone. Last year we did not have Christmas breakfast because my grandparents were recovering from a kidney transplant. My grandma donated one of her kidneys to my grandpa. So it was fun to get everyone together again.

Nikita's dad came over on Christmas Eve for dinner. We made Greek food. We made some really good souvlaki. The funny thing was we had bought some pita bread and after we ate we finally remembered we had it. So we didn't eat it.
