Little Smarty Pants

Ellie is now almost 4 months old. We are absolutely amazed at how smart she is. She really knows what is going on around her. Sometimes we ask her questions and when she responds she always makes a noise that sounds like the correct response. She always know the correct answer to yes or no questions. One time my mom, Carolyn, asked Ellie if she was hungry. She responded by saying "hungry."

Nikita has been signing to Ellie. Ellie absolutely loves it when Nikita talks to her through sign language. We have been teaching her a few words like "milk". The pictures below don't look like much without a little explanation. One day we came home from running around and she started putting her hands together and shaking them. It took us a minute to figure out that she was trying to do the sign for "milk" and tell us that she wanted a bottle (lately she doesn't always want to nurse and wants a bottle instead). Once we got her a bottle she was happy as can be. We took pictures of her doing it because she had never done that with her hands before and we thought it was so funny. So take a look at the pictures below and you will see her trying to tell us through sign language that she wants a bottle.
