Chinese New Year

I know it's a little late, but we've been so busy that I'm running behind on our fun activities!

So on Friday, January 27th, Weber State had a Chinese New Year Celebration Night.  Clint and Ellie and Kenna and I went up to the party to see what it was all about.  We thought it was going to be this super cool festival with all these cool Chinese things, they were serving free Chinese food, and it was open to the public, so we thought, Hey, this will be fun!

It turned out to be ok.  It was fun to see the different Chinese clothes since they had a little Fashion Show, but the rest was wierd.  The food was cold and oh so wierd, and it was mostly a talent night for one of the local Elementary's that have a Chinese Immersion Program.  But we got to see a Dragon Dance and a Lion Dance! :)  Ellie enjoyed it!  Here are some of the funny pictures.

We also had a Chinese New Year Dinner with Clint's family.  They do it every year, and it's just a good excuse to have good Chinese Food!  We made a cake with the Chinese symbol for Dragon on it, since this is the year of the Dragon!

It definitely wasn't made by a professional, but it tasted yummy!
