Sorry!

Oh my goodness I can't believe it's been almost a month since we did a post!  We've had a couple of problems with the blog, mainly because Nikita (me) has a problem with posting toooooo many pictures!  How can I not when we have such a cute little girl on our hands?! :)  Anyway, I guess we hit our maximum upload quota, so now we have to start paying if we want to keep this blog and keep adding pictures.  So...we are probably going to start a new blog.  BUT, we need time to get it all put together!  I will keep you posted on when that will happen.

Other news, Ellie had her 15 month appointment!

Height:  33 1/2 in.  (100th percentile)
Weight:  23 lbs. 5 oz.  (70th percentile)
Head Circumference:  18.6 in.  (80th percentile)

She's a pretty healthy girl!  And she's getting her molars in so it's been a rough little while for her!

Tonight Clint and I went to his work Christmas Party, and when we picked Ellie up afterwards she had a MAJOR fever.  We brought her home and gave her a popsicle to try and get some fluids in her since she wouldn't drink anything, and then put her to bed.  She went without a fight because she was so tired, so we're hoping that the sleep will help her feel better!  She got her shots yesterday, so we're hoping that's why she's got a little fever.  Finger's crossed it will go away!

We had a great Thanksgiving, doing the normal run around and loving every minute of it.

We are doing great, just hanging in there.  Once we get the blog thing figured out you will get to see more pictures of the ever growing Ellie!  Thanks for checking in on us!

November Recap

I will tell you what, this no camera thing is getting kind of rough! :)  We are going to get one for Christmas though, and after that we hopefully won't have anymore blurry pictures!

We haven't been up to too much this month so far, just hanging out!  We did have Spa night about a week and a half ago!  That was fun and Ellie got a little more into it this time!  And Clint was super nice to watch our nephew Ben for us while the girls went upstairs to pamper!  Unfortunately he was the only guy this year, so he got the babysitting job!  Thanks babe!

 Isn't she the cutest?!

Clint also was able to spend a whole Saturday working on the up and coming Book Shelf!!!!  If any of you don't know, I've been after him for MONTHS to get it done!  Now all he has left to do is sand and stain!  Yahoo!  We might have it before Christmas!

If you ask me, it's going to be the best book shelf ever!  It really looks so neat and it is perfect size for what we want.  And he carved our names on the bottom, so someday if it's handed down to our grandkids they will say "Hey, my grandpa made this!"  :)

Then on Veterans Day Ellie and I went and did some shopping at the mall.  Really just window shopping, nothing special.  But she was soooo nice for me while I spent a LONG time walking around Quilted Bear, so I decided to buy her a pretzel.  She loved it!
And Ellie's hair is long enough to put it into pigtails in the back!  Can I tell you how much I LOVE this???  I think it is the cutest little hairstyle for little girls!  And now my cute little girl gets to have them!

I love this little girl so much!

Other than that we've just been up to the norm!  Tomorrow night we will start making Thanksgiving Treats to take with us to Pie Night on Wednesday night.  Let the Holiday festivities begin!

Wedding Magazine Ad

I was presented with a pretty cool opportunity this week. I was asked to create an ad for our DJ company that will be printed in a wedding magazine. I quickly accepted the challenge. Then I found out I had about 24 hours to design the ad and turn it in before the magazine needed it to run their next print. I have never made an ad that will be seen by thousands of people in a magazine before. I started on it but was having trouble making an ad that would be appealing to the brides. So I enlisted Nikita's help and she had some great ideas. She helped me make some major changes to the ad and I think it will now be appealing to the brides we are targeting. Below is the magazine ad. I think it turned out pretty well. Clint.

Costumes and Cuteness

So as promised, I downloaded the pictures from my phone so that you can see our Halloween Costumes!  I only have pictures of Ellie and Clint though and they were after we got home so Ellie was a little tired!  My costume was just a black and white polka-dot piece of fabric pinned on like a dress, but Clint and Ellie's were actual costumes.  Pretty cute!

Then as mentioned before, Ellie and I have been home with a cold bug.  This is what we've been up to...

Watching Movies...like Despicable Me...Ellie LOVES that movie!  Everytime we watch it she's glued!  As you can see!

 Singing along to Enchanted
Sitting on whatever perch we can find
Playing on Mom's makeshift bed.  We both needed the warm mist humidifier, so I blew up an air mattress and slept in her room with her.  Then I could also be there if she woke up not able to breathe or something.

 Mmmm, cough drops!

Even though it's been busy and I haven't been able to rest as much as I would like, my role as a Mom comes first and I have LOVED being able to stay home and spend time with this cute girl.  I love her so much and I'm so blessed to have her in my life!  And I'm so lucky to have a great husband that does everything around the house so that I can try to get better.  He does such a good job taking care of his sick girls!

Up To Date

Sorry I haven't been doing many posts lately.  Not having a camera anymore is really getting to us!  But we just don't have the money to buy one right now, so we make do with what we have.

For Halloween we dressed up as the Flintstones!  We did get a couple pictures, but with Clint's dad's camera, so we have to get them on to the computer before we can post them.  But I made the costumes all by myself!  I do have to say they turned out pretty good!

Then Halloween night I got really sick and have been sick ever since.  It is Monday and I am home with Ellie, who has now also gotten this rotten cold.  So that is what we've been up to lately!

A few weeks ago though we went to the North Davis Fire District Fire Prevention Open House.  Clint LOVES all things with sirens and horns.  He totally should have been a police officer or firefighter or something!  But no matter, we definitely know that Ellie is HIS daughter!  She loves all of those things too!  We got to see the Helicopter land and take off and listen to sirens and everything.  Clint also took his scouts since it was their night to have an activity and the boys loved it too.  So here's the one picture of Ellie we have from that night!

That's what we've been up to!  We'll update later when we finally get pictures!

Hat Head

For Clint's birthday Ellie picked this hat out for him.  She absolutely LOVES it!  It is in our closet, and everytime she see's it she says "Hat Hat" and points to it until we give it to her.  Clint packed it up to go to St. George with us, but not before Ellie had a little turn with it!

5 Years!

Well Clint and I just celebrated our FIFTH Anniversary on the 20th!  Yahoo!  I know that's not a terribly long time, but it is a big milestone for us and an exciting one at that!

We decided we wanted to do something different for our anniversary instead of the normal overnighter in Salt Lake or somewhere close, so we decided to go to St. George.  We wanted to go for two nights, but we weren't sure what to do with Ellie.  Clint's parents and his youngest sister went to Disneyland for UEA so they weren't going to be home.  But Kenna and Navarro stepped up to the plate and said they would LOVE to have Ellie.  ALL WEEKEND!  That's a big commitment for newlyweds! :)  But we were very grateful and couldn't have left her with two better people.  She seriously LOVES them and had the time of her life!

So Friday night we left her around 6 and went to dinner in Layton.  Then we headed to Salt Lake and stayed at the Parrish Place Bed & Breakfast.  It is an old, large house that they turned into a little B&B and it was so cute!  Definitely old and rickety, but it had a quaint feel to it and it was different, so we liked that!  We ended up forgetting our phone chargers, so we found a Walmart that night, with a parking garage mind you, and ended up buying a Pint of Ben & Jerry's, three $5 movies, and a phone charger.  How fun!

Then we woke up bright and early and headed for St. George.  It took us 4 1/2 hours to get there which wasn't bad.  But boy were we ready to be done with the car ride!  Once we got there we went to In n Out for lunch and then hit up the outlets for some Christmas shopping.  We utilize our anniversary every year to get a head start on the Christmas shopping so that we can try to avoid the Christmas crowds later.

We stopped at the Best Western Abbey Inn to check into our hotel, which we've stayed at before and LOVE, and then we went to the Claim Jumper for dinner which was Fabulous.  Then went and saw Hairspray at Tuachan!!!  I've never been to Tuachan and I couldn't have been more excited!  It was a great performance and it was so funny.  It was actually their last performance of the season so the cast was pulling jokes and goofing off the whole time.  It was hilarious!

The Abbey Inn is a little more updated than the B&B, which was kind of nice! :)

Then Sunday morning we hung out, did a little more shopping and then headed home.  All in all it was a great, long-needed weekend.  It was so nice to hang out with my best friend.  It's always nice to be together alone, but this weekend was extra special.  I was emotional in itself because I was so excited that we hit the 5-year mark, but it was also nice because we were so relaxed.  We laughed at the little things.  We joked.  We played.  We enjoyed each other's company.  It was the best weekend I have had in a long time.  Yes, we missed our Ellie terribly, and she missed us, but it was the little reminder of why we fell in love that got to us.  It was great, and I loved every minute of it.

Thank you Clint, for being such a wonderful husband, father, and friend.  You are my best friend and I love you so much.  You have turned my life around and made it the best that it can possibly be.  I couldn't ask for anything more.  I have it all with you.  Happy Anniversary!  Thanks for the 5 best years of my life!
