Introducing Jacob and McKenna Sobers!
August 18th was a busy day for us!  Well, backtrack, it started on the 17th.  We went to help set up stuff for their reception the night before and then went home and gave Ellie a bath and I showered that night and we got all of our stuff ready and went to bed way too late.  THEN, we woke up at 5:00 on Saturday to get ready.  We had to be to the Salt Lake Temple by 7:50 a.m.  On our way it just so happened that we got stalled by the Salt Lake City Marathon.  But no worries, we did make it on time.

This is Kenna and Navarro right after they were married.  (Navarro is Jacob's middle name and that is what we've always called him.  He is just Navarro to us.)  It was neat, too, because Navarro's Grandad was the one that got to Marry and Seal them.

We spent the morning taking the normal pictures and then went to the Luncheon at The Old Spaghetti Factory.  Then we went and picked up the treats for the reception, came home and just layed on the bed for a few minutes to try and rest, then got ready again and went to the reception.

It was such a fun day and we are so happy for them.  Kenna made such a beautiful bride and Navarro made a handsome groom.  They looked great and you could tell they were so excited and happy.  Congratulations you two!

Cute little Benjamin, just 11 days old here

Grandma with Ellie and Grandpa with Ben!
It was such a gorgeous day too.  Perfect for a wedding!

Ellie was LOVING putting her feet in the water.  I'm sure you're not supposed to, but I couldn't resist letting her have a little fun! :)

Ellie trying to see Ben.  She was so funny because she kept trying to cuddle with his blanket instead of him!

This is from the night before.  I thought it was so cute to have the lights above the tables.  It turned out great!

Catch Up

So yes, I know, I am behind on the blogging train.  It has just been so busy around here getting ready for Ellie's birthday, which is TODAY!, and Kenna and Navarro got married and Ellie got sick again and...I could go on and on!  But, no worries!  I'm back!

So the week before Kenna and Navarro got married, which was the 13th-17th, my mom came into town!  She doesn't get to see Ellie very often so we made sure to spend as much time with her as we could.  As it would be though, I kept forgetting to take my camera with me.  So on the last day that she was here we finally remembered to snap a few pictures!

Ellie always has fun with Grandma Trena when she's in town and she always gets spoiled!  Thanks mom!

Ellie wanted to give her kisses, but decided to lick her face instead!
As you can see Ellie was a little wild that day!  What a funny girl!

"Stay"cation Day 5

I forgot about Day 5!  On day 5 we went to Kennecott Copper Mine in Bingham Canyon.  It took about  an hour and a half to get there, we were there for about an hour, and then we left.  But it was cool to see the dump trucks because they are the size of a two-story house!  And they had a little video that we watched about how they drill out the canyon to get the copper and gold and silver.  Ellie did pretty good during the movie, but there was another baby there and all she wanted to do was talk to her!

We also got her and Clint a copper-coated post card as a souvenier.  When I told Clint we were going there he told me that he didn't really remember his trip from when he was little, except for the dump trucks and his copper-coated postcard.  I couldn't resist!

I know this truck looks little but it was far away.  They are actually HUGE!

 Watchin' the movie & chillin'

It was super windy but super fun to see!!!
