"Stay"cation

I took a week off of work last week and Ellie and I had a little "Stay"cation!  It was really fun.  I actually scheduled the week off of work a while ago, and then I found out Clint's family was doing a "Stay"cation that same week so it worked out perfect!  We hung out with them all week!  Clint was only able to have the holiday off on Tuesday      :( but Ellie and I had a blast!

•  Monday we went to The Living Planet Aquarium out in Sandy?  Or somewhere.  It was really fun to see them feed the penguins and the sting-rays and to see all of the cool fish.  Ellie really liked it until the end when she got sleepy!

 Then that night we went to the Pioneer Day Rodeo in Ogden.  Ellie LOVED the Horses!  She kept making the horsie noise that she loves to do.  It was so funny.

•  Tuesday Clint had the day off :) so we went on our annual Engagement Anniversary Picnic.  We got engaged on a picnic on the 24th of July, so every year we go on a picnic to celebrate that.  It was especially fun this year because it was Ellie's first anniversary picnic with us.  We kept saying "At this time last year we were thinking about what it would be like to have our baby with us and now we know!"  It was so fun and Ellie loved it.  She especially loved the duckies afterwards, and drinking daddy's coke!

 That night we went to Taste of the Town at the Layton Park.  They have a whole bunch of restaurants come and you can try all of their food.  For a price of course!  But it was fun.  My manager at the bank is in a band, and his band was the entertainment there!  That's not why we chose to go, but it was fun to see!

•  Wednesday Ellie and I hung out at home.  We went to lunch with my friend Natalie and then came home to let Ellie take a nap.  Then we got out the pool and swam in the backyard.  Then we just hung out until Dad got home and then just did whatever.  It was a relaxing day for us.
• Thursday was my birthday, so we woke up and opened some fun presents!  Clint and Ellie got me some fun clothes and movies and treats and a Fishing Pole!  Yahoo!  Then Clint made us breakfast and had to go to work.  Ellie and I got ready and then we went to the Zoo!  It was so fun!  Once again, Ellie LOVED the animals!  For real!  And some of the animals LOVED her!  Like the grizzly bears!  But I was so glad to be able to take her.  We've been wanting to go for a while but Clint never gets time off, so it was nice to have somebody else to go with us!

 Then we went to Red Lobster that night for dinner and Ellie drank out of a cup with a straw for the first time!  Normally she just makes us give the straw to her, but she was a big girl that night!  It was so fun!

•  Then on Friday we went to the Kennecott Copper Mine.  It was neat to see the HUGE dump trucks and the process of how they get the copper and gold and silver out of the mountain.  It was a quick trip, but still fun! 

Then that night we watched the Opening Ceremonies for the Olympics and stuffed wedding invitation envelopes for Kenna and Navarro's wedding, and then had a campout in the backyard at Clint's parents house.  We ended up not sleeping outside because the wind was too loud for Ellie, but it was still fun.  Then we woke up and had a yummy breakfast, and that ended our "Stay"cation.  The pictures will come each day at a time.  It was such a fun week!  Thanks Gary and Carolyn and Carly for letting us come hang out with you all week!
