My pregnancy went very well and I was very grateful that Ellie was such a healthy baby. We spent two days in the hopsital recovering and then came home on Wednesday, August 31. When we found out we were having a girl, Clint and I bought a cute little pair of dresses and decided Ellie would wear one of those as her "Coming Home" outfit. She didn't like getting dressed at the hospital, and she REALLY didn't like getting put into a carseat. We found out that day that she had a really good set of lungs! But once we got her into the car and got moving she seemed to do pretty well and fell right to sleep. She is just such a funny girl! And when we got home and took her out of the seat, she sprawled out to cool off...we definitely know that this little one likes her space! Although we've known that from the get-go! She did not like being a ball in my belly!
Both at the hospital and once home she had many, many visitors! Mostly our families and a few friends here and there. We are grateful to our families for the support that they were throughout the pregnancy, and the support they give us now! They brought us meals after Ellie came home and came each day to help me out at home since I had never been through this whole experience before! And they are all still so willing to help whenever we need it and we are grateful to them. And grateful that they LOVE Ellie as much as we do! She's just so fun!
